Fincar Information

Finasteride is a  steroid reductase inhibitor which is reducing the size of the gland by limiting the amount of the DHT hormone in the system. It also helps in managing urinary related conditions without the need for surgical procedures.

Dosage

This drug is usually administered orally in doses of 5 mg.

Usage

It should be used for a period of between 6-12 months for optimal results. Usually it should be administered after meals. Should be taken once daily or according to the guidelines set by your physician.

Side effects

Fincar comes with a number of side effects that can sometimes be severe. These side effects vary from patient to patient however; there is a possibility of not experiencing any. The most common side effects are as follows;

• Tenderness of Breasts
• Skin rashes
• face and lips swelling
• Rapid weight gain
• Low libido and lack of interest in intercourse
• Irregular ejaculation
• Constant running nose
• Headache and migraines
• Stomach pains and complications

Other precautions include;

·Don’t attempt to use this drug during pregnancy

·Avoid using this drug while breastfeeding

·If you have a history of liver complications use Fincar with caution and ensure close monitoring by your physician.

·Patients with Pediatric related complications should avoid using Fincar.

·This drug does not cause drowsiness and can be taken with alcohol but it is prudent to avoid alcohol consumption until after clearing your prescription.
