Finpecia is a male oriented drug that is used in the treatment of hyperplasia. It cures and manages these conditions by restricting the production of male hormones that cause them. It is a substitute for drugs such as Finax Finalo and Fincover.

Dosage

Finpecia is available in doses of 1 mg tablets.

Usage

It should be taken orally as prescribed by a physician. For Androgenetic Alopecia and benign prostatic patients the results begin manifesting after six months. When used to restore balding, it takes 3 months for hair to grow but patients will lose any hair that was grown once they cease medication. Finpecia interacts adversely with Diltiazem, Itraconazole and Nelfinavir, so avoid them while on medication. For safety always confirm with your physician on other interactions because every drugs reacts differently depending on the individual.

Side effects

Finpecia has a number of side effects which include;

• Tenderness of Breasts and muscles
• Cold sweats
• Low libido and lack of interest in intercourse

• face and lips swelling
• Rapid weight gain
• Low libido and lack of interest in intercourse
• Constant running nose
• Headache and migraines

Precautions

Other precautions include;

·       This drug does not cause drowsiness and can be taken with alcohol but it is prudent to avoid alcohol consumption until after clearing your prescription.

Patients with Pediatric related complications should avoid using Finpecia.
