Bimat Eye Drops

Bimat Eye Drops is a drug that is manufactured by Ajanta pharmaceutical Limited. This drug is used to cure open angle glaucoma, intraocular hypertension and lack of adequate eyelashes. This drug is not recommended for patients under the age of 16 years.

Dosage

Bimat Eye Drops comes in the form of eye drops. To be administered as instructed by your physician.

Usage

The dosage of this drug depends on the severity of a patient’s condition. Always consult a doctor before using this drug. The effect of this drug on conditions such as intraocular hypertension and open angle glaucoma can be observed at least four hours after taking the drug and lasts for between 12 hours to 24 hours. For the cure of inadequate eyelashes the effect of this medication can be felt two months after applying the first dose. Do not uses doses irregularly, if you miss a dose wait for the next scheduled time to take the next dose, don’t break the timetable. Any overdose of Bimat Eye Drops should be communicated to a physician as soon as possible.

Side Effects

The side effects associated with Bimat Eye Drops include but are not limited to the following.

  • Increase in hair growth

  • Eye pain

  • Blindness

  • Redness of the eye

  • Blurred vision

  • Headache

  • Double vision

  • Burning or itching of eyes

  • Eye discharge

  • Change in color vision

  • Eye swelling

Precautions

There are certain precautions that must be taken before, after and during the use of Bimat Eye Drops. These precautions include;

  • Ensure that you inform your physician about any allergies and pre-existing conditions.

  • Do not go beyond prescribed instructions while using this drug, strictly stick to doctors instructions.

  • Remove contact lenses before using this drug and insert them back 15 minutes after administering the drug.

  • Take hygienic precautions to avoid bacteria as it may lead to conditions such as bacterial keratitis.

  • Do not drive or operate heavy machinery after administering this drug. Wait for an hour or two.
