Duolin Inhaler (Ipratropium Bromide & Levalbuterol Sulphate)

The Duolin Inhaler is contains  Salbutamol and Ipratropium Bromide which help in calming muscles in the lungs passages to allow for optimum air passage. It is used for conditions such as Inflammation in the mucous membrane, Blockage of the Nasal cavity, Respiratory disease, Lung disorder and Asthma. This drug is produced by Cipla pharmaceutical company.

Dosage

Ipratropium Bromide though there are versions of the drug with varied dosages.

Usage

This nasal inhaler should be used under the instructions of a physician in the management and prevention of the conditions listed above. It is advisable to use this inhaler after meals.

Side effects

It is always prudent to consult your physician immediately in case you experience any abnormal reactions while using this inhaler. There are some common side effects of the Duolin Inhaler but they do not always occur. Here is a list of common side effects;

• Swallowing difficulties

Precautions

Always ensure to take some precautions before, while and after using Duolin Inhaler . Firstly provide your physician with adequate information of any other medication or herbal remedies you may be using. Also include any allergies and medical conditions during the briefing such as scheduled surgeries and pregnancy must also be disclosed.

• Ensure that you replace inhaler cap each time after use

• Inhaler should always be stored upright.
• Operating machinery is discouraged after medication.
• Use inhaler only for as long as prescribed and in the manner instructed.
• Use clean fibre free cloth or tissue before and after to clean inhaler mouth piece.
• Avoid inhaler use if you have had urinary infections, Hypertensive ischaemic,
•  cystic fibrosis, heart disease, glaucoma, and prostate related conditions
• Store away from any open heat sources.
