Venlor XR (Venlafaxine)

Product Information

Venlor Xr (Generic Effexor Xr) by Cipla contains generic substance Venlafaxine, an antidepressant of the SNRI (serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor) group. It is used in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder and social phobia.

Dosage

Usage and dosing of the medication should be recommended by your physician. The dosage depends on the diagnosis. For major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and social phobia – 75 mg/day, and for panic disorder – 37.5 mg/day for 7 days.

How To use Venlor Xr 

Venlor Xr (Generic Effexor Xr) by Cipla should be used in a single dose with a glass of water at the same time every day. Preferably, take the medication with food. Do not chew the capsule! It should be swallowed completely. People with chronic diseases should consult their physician about adjusting the dose. These kinds of disorders are very hard to treat and may take up to 4 weeks for the first effects to happen.

Side effects of Venlor Xr

As every other drug, Venlor Xr (Generic Effexor Xr) by Cipla may have side effects. Those include: allergic reactions, psychiatric disturbances, suicide ideations, hallucinations, agitation, seizure. Blurred vision, dry mouth, nightmares, impotence, etc. are less common. It often causes insomnia, and that symptom is among the most disturbing, especially in young adults.

Warnings & Precautions 

If you are allergic to Venlafaxine or you use MAO inhibitors, you may be at higher risk of developing side effects. There is a danger of developing dependence.
